Tawau Floods: 335 Victims Still Sheltered At Relief Centre

KOTA KINABALU, July 26 (Bernama) -- A total of 335 flood victims from 96 families remain at a temporary relief centre in Tawau as of 8 am today, with no casualties or untoward incidents reported so far.
The Sabah State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said all victims are still taking shelter at the Tawau Sports Complex Multipurpose Hall.
The victims are residents from Kampung Tanjung Batu Keramat, Tanjung Batu Darat, Tanjung Batu Otentik and Kampung Kinabutan Tiku Batu 6.
Continuous rain since Friday caused Tawau and surrounding areas to be affected by floods, with the disaster declared at 8.30 am.
