Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Forecast To Hit Several States Until 9 PM
KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds expected to affect several states in Peninsular Malaysia as well as parts of Sabah and Sarawak until 9 pm today.
MetMalaysia said the affected areas in Peninsular Malaysia are the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Jempol).
The same warning has also been issued for Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru), Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman), and Pahang (Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin).
In Sabah, the affected areas are the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast (Papar and Ranau), Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan), and Kudat (Kota Marudu and Pitas).
In Sarawak, the warning covers Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Bintulu), Miri (Subis, Miri and Marudi), and Limbang.
