MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain And Strong Winds To Hit 12 States Until 9pm Tonight
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in 12 states as well as the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan until 9 pm tonight.
In a statement, MetMalaysia informed that the bad weather is expected to hit Perlis, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka.
The same warning was also issued for Perak (Kerian, Hulu Perak, Selama, Larut Matang, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, and Perak Tengah) and Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Pokok Sena, Kota Setar, Pendang, Yan, and Kuala Muda).
In Johor, the affected areas are Segamat, Batu Pahat, Muar, and Tangkak, while in Pahang, they include Cameron Highlands, Jerantut, Kuantan, Maran, Temerloh, Bentong, Bera, and Lipis.
In Terengganu, the affected areas are Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman, whereas in Kelantan, they involve Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, and Jeli.
Meanwhile, in Sabah, the affected regions include the Interiors of (Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Membakut, Tambunan, Sipitang, Keningau, and Pensiangan) and the West Coast (Papar, Ranau, Kota Belud, and Tuaran).
In Sarawak, the affected areas are Limbang, Miri (Marudi, Beluru, and Telang Usan), Bintulu (Sebauh and Tatau), Sibu, Sarikei, Kapit (Belaga), Serian (Tebedu), and Kuching (Kuching and Bau).
