Fahmi, who is also PKR information chief, said Manivannan, a local with experience and a proven track record as a hardworking elected representative, was well placed to bring further development to Jeram Padang.

He added that the eight-year administration of Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun should also serve as a basis for voters to renew PH's mandate.

Fahmi said Negeri Sembilan had recorded increases in state revenue, investments and zakat collection, while also building more mosques than under previous administrations.

He expressed confidence that the leadership combination of Aminuddin and Manivannan would deliver greater development for Jeram Padang and the state.

The Communications Minister also reminded all parties to comply with Election Commission (EC) regulations by ceasing all campaign activities once the campaign period ends at midnight.

“I will ask our team to monitor TikTok as well. Campaigning on TikTok must also stop, although I am not sure whether the EC is monitoring campaign activities on the platform.

“We hope campaigning on TikTok will remain orderly, healthy and based on facts,” he said.

Fahmi, who is also the Lembah Pantai MP, advised the public to be cautious of false information circulating on social media and WhatsApp throughout the election period, urging them to verify information through trusted mainstream media and news portals before believing or sharing it.

“I urge everyone to check with official and established media organisations such as RTM, Bernama, TV3, Astro Awani, Berita Harian, NST, The Star, Malaysia Gazette, Agenda Daily, Makkal Ossai, Sin Chew and Nanyang.

“If information received, particularly through WhatsApp, does not match reports carried by credible news portals, be cautious and lodge a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) so its authenticity can be verified,” he said.

A total of 859,760 registered voters, including 7,391 postal voters, are eligible to cast their ballots tomorrow to elect representatives for the 36 seats in the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly. As of Tuesday, 91.06 per cent, or 14,995 early voters, had cast their ballots.

PH is contesting all 36 seats, followed by Barisan Nasional (BN) (25), Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) (24), Perikatan Nasional (PN) (11) and four independent candidates. Barisan Jemaah Islamiah Se-Malaysia (Berjasa), Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (ASLI) and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) are each fielding one candidate.

The Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly was dissolved on June 5 with the consent of Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.
