Prime Minister Attends Sabah State Govt Dinner Hosted In Conjunction With MTPMA63 Meeting

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the Sabah State Government Dinner in conjunction with the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) Meeting here tonight.

His arrival at 7:50 pm was welcomed by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

The event was also attended by Federal and state ministers, heads of state and Federal departments, and government-related agencies.

At the event, the Prime Minister and guests were entertained by traditional Sabah cultural dances before dinner was served while also entertaining the guests at the event were local singers Azharina Azhar, Sumarli Loli, and Ryenald Guntabid.

Earlier, Anwar arrived in Sabah at 6:45 pm today in conjunction with a two-day working visit featuring several scheduled official programmes, including chairing the 2026 MTPMA63 Meeting tomorrow.

He is scheduled to perform Friday prayers at the Kampung Likas Jamek Mosque before continuing his visit to the temporary evacuation center for fire victims of Kampung Numbak at the Damai Multipurpose Hall at noon.

In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister said that Sabah and Sarawak are loyal partners in the Unity Government who continue to work together to strengthen national stability as well as solidify the spirit of unity and togetherness among regions.

"Insya-Allah, the unity and trust that have been built will continue to be a strength in making the development agenda a success and guaranteeing the well-being of the people as a whole," he said.
