It is an important platform for Malaysians to reflect on the nation's history, while fostering unity, patriotism and a shared sense of togetherness.

"Sabah holds a very important place in the history of Malaysia's formation. This celebration should allow us to remember the struggles of earlier generations while renewing our resolve to continue building a peaceful, progressive and united nation," he said in a statement today.

He expressed his deepest appreciation to Tun Musa for receiving the committee delegation and for offering invaluable guidance, advice and insights to ensure a smooth and meaningful event.

Jafry said preparations for the state-level celebration are being actively coordinated through multi-agency collaboration involving all relevant ministries, government departments and public agencies.

He also called upon all Sabahans to come together and liven up the 63rd Malaysia Day Celebration as an expression of their shared love for the state and nation, in keeping with the spirit of Malaysia MADANI and the Sabah Maju Jaya vision.
