Pandikar, Wife Lose In Sabah State Election

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Both former Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia and his wife, Puan Sri Diana Diego @ Yusrina Sufiana lost in the recently-concluded 17th Sabah state election.

Pandikar Amin, the United Sabah National Organisation (USNO) president, who contested on a Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) ticket lost in an 11-cornered fight for Pintasan state seat, with Independent candidate Datuk Fairuz Renddan emerging the winner with a majority of 1,070. 

Meanwhile, Diana, who is GRS deputy women’s chief, lost in a six-cornered fight in Sekong.

Sekong was won by Alias Sani of Parti Warisan (Warisan), who received 6,487 votes.
