All MOE Educational Institutions In N.Sembilan Closed Tomorrow Due To Haze
SEREMBAN, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- All educational institutions under the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Negeri Sembilan will be closed starting tomorrow due to the haze affecting the state.
In a statement today, the Negeri Sembilan Education Department (JPNS) said the closure was in line with the MOE's media statement issued today, based on Air Pollutant Index (API) readings recorded at three monitoring stations in the state, namely Port Dickson, Seremban and Nilai, as at 5 pm today.
"Affected educational institutions must implement Home-Based Teaching and Learning (PdPR) to ensure the continuity of students' learning, taking into consideration the capabilities, access and needs of students as well as teachers' readiness.
"Teachers and Implementation Support Group (AKP) personnel are also permitted to work from home (WFH) throughout the closure period. The safety, health and welfare of students and members of the education workforce remain the utmost priority of JPNS," it said.
JPNS, together with the District Education Offices (PPD) and educational institutions, will continue to monitor API readings regularly and take appropriate action based on developments and decisions made by the MOE.
JPNS also advised parents and guardians to remain alert to current developments and cooperate in ensuring the safety and health of their children throughout the haze period.
