The Menteri Besar said the response showed that voters were assessing the government’s performance and looking at the state’s future development direction should PH be given another mandate.

“We have been going to the ground to meet the people and the feedback so far has been very positive. They are looking at what the state government has done, not just listening to promises.

“We are presenting our track record from nearly two terms of administration and leaving it to the people to decide whether our efforts have benefited them,” he told Bernama here today.

Aminuddin, who is also Negeri Sembilan PKR chairman, said PH’s campaign focused on administrative achievements, economic development and future plans for the state, rather than issues that could divide society.

“This campaign is different. We have not been drawn into racial or religious narratives. From the beginning, we have focused on what we have achieved and what we plan to do.

“We are presenting this report card to the people for their assessment. This shows that we are not merely making promises, but working to drive economic growth and address issues affecting the people,” said the PKR vice-president.

Aminuddin, who is also the PH candidate for the Linggi state constituency, said the state government’s achievements were supported by plans under the PH manifesto, including the development of nine new industrial areas statewide to attract more investments and create job opportunities.

Among the planned and ongoing projects are the AI Smart Port Project in Port Dickson and the development of an industrial area in Springhill, which is expected to attract investments from international technology companies.

Aminuddin, who is also Port Dickson Member of Parliament, said the state government’s focus was to create more competitive income opportunities so that the people, especially youths, could build careers without having to leave the state.

“We want people to work, live and enjoy their leisure time in Negeri Sembilan. With a population of about 1.2 million, attracting investments is important to ensure the younger generation does not have to move elsewhere to seek employment,” he said.

A total of 867,151 ordinary voters will cast their ballots on Saturday to elect representatives to the 36-seat Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly.

PH is contesting all 36 seats, followed by Barisan Nasional (BN) with 25, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) with 24, and Perikatan Nasional (PN) with 11. The election also features four Independent candidates and one candidate each from Barisan Jamaah Islamiah Semalaysia (Berjasa), Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (ASLI) and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM).
